A Bit About My Experience in Mumbai

Just got back from Mumbai—went there to return a suitcase to my first-ever roommate, a dear friend who turned a city into a second home for me. The trip was a mix of familiar and foreign, like stepping into a version of home that wasn’t mine but still felt warm. Met some incredible people, played tourist in my own country, and sat in that weird space between belonging and being an outsider.

On the flight back, I ended up playing Ludo with a gentleman—won most rounds, but he won in wisdom. We talked about networking beyond LinkedIn, the real kind, where connections aren’t just added but built. At one point, I mentioned my favorite professor, the one who made me fall in love with authentic content, and without hesitation, he sent him a request. A small moment, but it hit me—if not for this random game of Ludo, their paths would’ve never crossed.

And somewhere in between all of that, at an hour most people sleep through, I got to witness something so pure, so untouched by time, that for a second, it felt like the city paused just for me.
